One of the most meaningful rhythms in life at our Christian school is chapel. Once a month, we pause our regular routines and gather together as a school community to worship, learn, and grow in faith. Chapel is a time when students, staff, families, and supporters come together to remember who we are and why we are here—rooted in Christ and united as one community.

A Community That Gathers Together

Chapels take place once a month, bringing the entire school together in a shared space. Parents, grandparents, and school supporters are warmly invited to attend, making chapel a true community gathering rather than a student-only event. These moments offer families a glimpse into the spiritual life of the school and create opportunities for shared worship across generations.

Seeing students seated alongside teachers, parents, and grandparents is a powerful reminder that faith is not lived in isolation. Chapel reinforces that we are part of something bigger—a community centered on God’s love and truth.

Student-Led and Class-Planned

One of the most special aspects of chapel is that classes take turns planning and leading each service. Rather than chapels being led only by staff, students are given meaningful responsibility and ownership in shaping these gatherings.

Each class chooses a theme that connects directly to what they are learning in the classroom. Through Scripture readings, skits, artwork, music, and presentations, students share how they are growing in both knowledge and faith. This approach helps students see that faith is not separate from learning—it is woven into every subject and experience.

Praise, Worship, and Learning Together

Every chapel includes a time of praise and worship, inviting the whole community to sing together and lift their voices in gratitude to God. Music plays an important role in helping students express faith, learn Scripture, and experience worship as something joyful and shared.

Alongside worship, chapel is a time of learning together as a community. Students listen to Scripture, reflect on themes such as kindness, gratitude, service, or God’s faithfulness, and see how these ideas connect to their daily lives. Because chapels are shaped by what classes are learning, they feel relevant, authentic, and meaningful.

Chapels also give students the opportunity to practice listening, reflecting, and engaging with God’s Word in a communal setting. These shared experiences help form a foundation for lifelong faith practices.

Building Faith in Community

Chapels are a key part of how we build faith in community. While faith is nurtured daily in classrooms, devotions, and relationships, chapel provides a dedicated space where the entire school comes together with a shared focus on God.

These gatherings reinforce that faith is not just personal—it is something we live out together. Students learn that worship is something we do as a body, supporting and encouraging one another. They see peers of different ages leading, praying, and sharing, which helps normalize faith as an active, visible part of life.

Chapels also strengthen the sense of belonging within the school. When students see their classmates lead, they celebrate one another’s growth and gifts. When families attend, they become part of the story, deepening connections between home and school.

Growing Confidence and Leadership

Because chapels are class-led, they play an important role in developing student confidence and leadership skills. Standing in front of a gathered community, speaking clearly, participating in worship, or performing a skit all help students grow in courage and responsibility.

These experiences teach students that their voices matter and that they have a role to play in God’s community. They learn to serve others, work together, and contribute their gifts for the good of the whole.

A Gift to Our Community

Chapels are a gift—to students, staff, families, and supporters. They reflect who we are as a Christian school: a place where faith is lived openly, learning is shared joyfully, and community is built intentionally.

We are grateful for the students who lead, the teachers who guide, and the families who join us. Each chapel gathering strengthens our shared commitment to walk together in faith—praising God, learning from His Word, and growing as a Christ-centered community.
